About the artwork

Kaub is a town in the German state of Rhineland-Palatinate, and is part of the Rhein-Lahn-Kreis. Kaub is located on the Rhine.

Burg Pfalzgrafenstein is a castle on the island of Falkenau, also known as the island of Pfalz, in the Rhine River near Kaub, Germany. The castle was used from the early 14th century to collect tolls on the Rhine, a lucrative occupation for the palatine counts.

The keep, a pentagonal tower with the point upstream, was built in 1326-1327. Further extensions followed in 1607 and 1755, including the side turrets and the cupola, additions from the Renaissance and Baroque periods.

Carl or Karl Hilgers (April 14, 1818 in Düsseldorf, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany; December 3, 1890) was a German landscape painter of the Düsseldorf School of Painting. At the time, he was known for his winter landscapes painted in large numbers in the Düsseldorf style. After his death his fame faded.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
