In 2018 I toured Rajasthan, a state located in the northwest of India. A trip that was truly unique because nowhere is the culture as special as in this country.
In Jaiselmer, we also stayed partly in the desert where you come across many camels and their keepers. They were special to me but I as a western photographer also to them because I was regularly asked if I wanted to take pictures with them. That did indicate that there were not many tourists, which makes it much more interesting for a photographer. It was also hard on the hard beds in the tent and the food was less than in the city. But it was quite an experience that I will not soon forget.
