One of three bridges found near Nieuw-Vennep, designed by Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava. This bridge is used for both car and bicycle traffic and its design makes it an eye-catcher in the Haarlemmermeerpolder. I regularly drove along the A4 between Leiden and Hoofddorp for work, and especially in the evening, this bridge is beautifully lit and always caught my attention. I tried to photograph the bridge in such a way that it looked like some kind of spaceship, the low viewpoint makes you look up from under the bridge to the sprite with its rope cables.
I made use of the ambient light and did not use flash, furthermore, the background was blackened to remove the remaining distracting elements.
