The small fire butterfly (Lycaena phlaeas) is a butterfly (day butterfly) from the family of blue butterflies (Lycaenidae). The butterflies reach a wingspan of 22 to 27 millimetres. In contrast to most other blue butterflies both sexes are equally colored.
