Steam clouds from a cooling tower. the deck hatches of an ocean-going vessel. One hatch closed the other hatch is open to unload the cargo. All the colors and piping on deck give lots of detail. The rust marks on the hull in the black paint the salt marks from the gangway.
I wanted this photo to give a detailed view of the harbor. A detail photo of the large ship in the harbour of IJmuiden. And just before I wanted to take the picture the steam came out of the cooling tower.
I like the steam in the background but clearly present. These are the nice surprises of harbor photography.
Raw and the port as it is the people who work there. The images I see there I like to photograph because it is art in itself. The harbor is a different world. The landscape of the harbor is always changing. The ships, the people and the landscape continue to fascinate me.
