Photographers in the Herb Garden in Brussels. And among all the herbs and herbaceous suddenly stood a rose. A modest rose, not too big with a few, small, flowers that were not yet in full bloom.
This rose caught my attention.
She was just coming out of bud. A moment I had never seen so clearly before. The bracts are still together above the bud but are already separate from the flower and already giving way.
It is already almost unimaginable that the green leaves could completely cover and hide the orange flower bud. From the moment the bud became too big for the bracts, it pushed the protective leaves away. And it will continue to do so until it fully rises above the green leaves and unfolds into the rose now still hidden in the pinkish bud.
The magic of growing and the magic of the plant. In details in the green with the fine hairs, the smooth strong stem and the promise of a beautiful flower I wanted to capture with this photograph. The perfection of nature.
