Tips for use

Point your camera at the floor or a piece of furniture first, then move it slowly up towards the wall. A bare white wall is hard for your phone to recognise.
Move your phone gently from side to side. Holding it still or waving it around quickly does not help.
Make sure there is enough light. In a dark room your phone has nothing to lock onto.

About ‘Buddhist monks in prayer, Vietnam’ by Ron Poot

Close to the city of Hue in Vietnam is the temple of Thien-Mu. Buddhist monks live here. The complex is located on the northwest bank of the famous Perfume River. You can travel there by dragon boat.

The Tien Mu Pagoda is one of the main sights on this river and therefore crowded. Visitors especially enjoy the serene look of the complex, provided it is not too crowded.

The most dominant building is the octagonal tower Thap Phuoc Duyen, which is very visible as you approach the complex from the river. Next to it is a small pavilion in which hangs a more than two-tonne bronze bell. This bell dates back to 1710. When it is rung, you can hear it miles away.

The complex is still home to monks who can be recognised by their long yellow robes. You can see up close how they perform their prayers and rituals.

At the complex, you can also see the blue Austin that was owned by monk Thich Quang Duc who set himself on fire in protest in 1963.
