This photograph was taken on the North Sea coast near Schobüll in North Frisia, Germany. Traditional brushwood groynes cut through the frozen tidal flats and create a striking contrast against the vast openness of the landscape. The clean lines and minimalist composition give the image a calm, graphic character.
