This atmospheric evening photo, taken from the Blind Donkey Bridge over the Groenerei, shows Bruges in all its charm. The historic facades are softly lit, while their reflections in the still water create an almost picturesque effect. In the background, the tower of Our Lady's Church looms out of the mist, adding a dreamy and mystical atmosphere to the picture. Just around the corner is Bruges' most photographed spot: the Rozenhoedkaai.
The combination of warm and cool tones brings a unique contrast: the golden glow of the wooden facades radiates cosiness and nostalgia, while the blue shadows add a touch of mystery. The mist enveloping the city enhances Bruges' timeless character and lets the viewer momentarily drift off to another world.
I have made some other post-processings of this photo to make it fit any interior. Be sure to take a look at the Bruges album in my shop. Also fits perfectly as a triptych.
