Detail shot of a bronze horse's head, in the Basilica of San Marco, Venice
one of the most famous structures in the famous St Mark's Square, is the Basilica. Four bronze horses are displayed above the main entrance, but these are replicas of the original statues. These can be found inside the church on the first floor, where the museum is located.
The bronze horse head in this statue, is one of the original statues on display in the museum.
The statue is nicely lit with some shadows, which makes the golden bronze look very nice. The green patina, reflects the weathered look of this statue. The background is black, which I made extra dark so that distracting elements cannot be seen.
