This work shows the Broekzijdse windmill in Abcoude on a beautiful summer day. The sky is clear blue and the mill stands out beautifully against the background. The surroundings are clearly visible as well, such as the small ditch on the left side of the picture that slowly disappears into the horizon. The mill dates from 1641 and is a ground-sailer.
