"Wild water kettle", whoever arrives here on a quiet sunny day won't immediately think this is the meaning of Brimkettill. On a stormy day when the waves are beating ferociously on the coast and the water has turned into a white and wild swirling mass, "Brimkettil" is in place.
According to folklore, this pool formed by erosion is the bath of the female troll Oddný, the Oddnýjarlaug.
