Both loved and hated is this lighthouse near city park Valkenberg in Breda. After all, you expect a lighthouse on the coast, but not in an inner city like Breda.
But Aldo Rossi managed to turn it into a work of art and thus acquire a place on the Breda canal.
And so a new recognisable piece of Breda was created around the entrance to the city park, near the Willemsbrug.
In an early morning, with the rising sun in the distance, a beautiful colourful scene emerges. Warm hues and a still empty park, which can be bustling with liveliness during the day.
For people looking for a different typical Breda sight than the Spanjaardsgat for once, this image is a welcome change. Inner-city yet filled with nature.
