What a beautiful and varied area is the Opal Coast in northern France! All the beaches are different in terms of appearance and atmosphere. Especially under the different tides and weather conditions. Deserted beaches, beautiful limestone cliffs (such as Cap Griz-Nez and Cap Blanc-Nez), different rock formations, cobbled and sandy beaches, picturesque fishing villages, beautiful views. In short, too much to list and photograph.
One of the other often-photographed subjects are the wooden breakwaters (Also called bollards) you find in large numbers at Wissant, among other places. I photographed them at both low and high tide and in different weather conditions. In this photo, it is low tide and you can see a large group of wooden breakwaters lined up in rows. I thought it would be nice to convert it to a powerful black and white version.
A few years ago I started to delve into photography a bit more and by now it can be called a passion.I photograph everything that strikes me in a positive way. Landscapes, animals and occasionally architecture or portraits.... But my preference is still nature photos, especially macro.. Read more…
