It was photographing between the showers. This created the most spectacular skies, which would make a good basis for this black-and-white shot.
All the elements had to be right: the clouds behind the Grote Kerk, a boat in motion, the sunlight. Not a picture you take in two clicks. With dedication and patience, after more than an hour of bivouacking, this captivating image emerged in front of my camera.
