"An old, weathered boat - as a silent witness of time - rests on a winch on the edge of the IJsselmeer, near Cornwerd. The sunset colours the sky and water in warm hues, while the calm of the mirror-smooth water emphasises the boat's transience. The rusty gears of the winch, surrounded by grass and stones, tell a story of times when this little boat might have actively braved the waves. An atmosphere of nostalgia and stillness makes this sculpture timeless and intriguing.

Location: Located on the Frisian IJsselmeer coast, Cornwerd is a small, historic village that is part of the municipality of Súdwest-Fryslân. The dike at Cornwerd offers beautiful views over the IJsselmeer and is a popular spot for peace seekers and photographers. Here, nature and history come together, overlooking the endless horizon and the windmills in the distance. This image captures the atmosphere of this unique location, where the past is still tangible in the details of the landscape."

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
