On a sun-drenched day, this beautifully crafted blue and white 'window' in the facade of a white church in the small fishing village of Alvor in the Algarve, Portugal, caught my eye. As the sky was also so beautifully blue, I had no choice but to take a picture of it. The round window in a bright blue colour, which you see so often in Portugal, and the white ironwork in the shape of a star or ice flower is simple but strongly demands attention. In Portugal, people are very good at crafting all kinds of products. The craftsmanship shines through. And the colours and atmosphere make it a summery picture.
