Tips for use

Point your camera at the floor or a piece of furniture first, then move it slowly up towards the wall. A bare white wall is hard for your phone to recognise.
Move your phone gently from side to side. Holding it still or waving it around quickly does not help.
Make sure there is enough light. In a dark room your phone has nothing to lock onto.

About ‘Blue hour on the calm Meuse in Dinant Belgium’ by Jeroen de Jongh Photography

Dinant is a picturesque town in the province of Namur, in Wallonia, with a rich history dating back to Roman times. It was an important medieval town because of its strategic location along the Meuse River, surrounded by steep cliffs and lush forests, making it a very picturesque area.

In the Middle Ages, Dinant was known for its copperware industry. The term "dinanderie" comes from Dinant and refers to decorative copper objects. The city experienced several conflicts, including destruction in 1466 by Charles the Bold and significant damage during World War I.

The impressive Gothic collegiate church Notre-Dame is one of Dinant's most recognisable sights, notable for its onion-shaped bell tower. The citadel sits on a cliff above the city and offers panoramic views of the valley. It houses a museum with exhibitions on Dinant's military history.

Dinant is the birthplace of Adolphe Sax, the inventor of the saxophone. There is a museum dedicated to him, saxophone sculptures and related art are on display, and the city celebrates its connection with Adolphe Sax with various music events and festivals.

Some of Belgium's most famous limestone caves are located near Dinant. The Meuse River is navigable and river cruises are a popular way to experience the beauty of the region. Because of its historical sites, natural beauty and cultural significance, tourism is an important part of Dinant's economy.
