I discovered these wonderful, blossoming apple trees in a meadow orchard in the beautiful East German region of Brandenburg. On my nature trip, I visited an ecologically designed orchard in an idyllic rural setting.
This fantastic natural landscape invites you to take long, relaxing walks.

The Behring organic farm is located on the edge of Märkische Schweiz, around 40 kilometres from the centre of Berlin.
Farm manager Ralf Behring returned to his grandparents' farm in Leuenberg in 1992 and rebuilt it. "The Bioland guidelines applied right from the start," says the farmer. "The two farm buildings, which were over one hundred and twenty years old, were renovated. The result was a farmstead for agriculture and five beautiful holiday flats."
Whether for holidays or farming, Ralf Behring and his family's organic farm is committed to ecological, sustainable farming. Arable farming, sheep and fruit can be found here as well as forests and meadows.
The farm specialises in arable farming. On the sandy soils of the Mark Brandenburg, the Behrings grow winter rye, lupins, oats, clover grass and undersown crops in crop rotation. Ewes and their lambs graze outdoors all year round and tend to the landscape. Lamb, sausages, cereals, apples and apple juice are produced on the farm.
"For me, photography feels like really capturing the moment - like a kind of alchemy where time is physically captured."
