The Blautopf in Blaubeuren is a karst cave that is a source of the Blau river. The water in the spring is so clear that you can see the bottom of the lake, which is around 21 metres deep. The spring is surrounded by a steep rock face and there is an old wooden bridge on one side.
The Blautopf is a popular tourist destination and there are a number of hiking trails and footpaths in the area.
