British Royal Navy's iconic Blackburn Buccaneer. The Blackburn S2B Buccaneer was a tactical bomber that served not only in the British Fleet Air Arm of the Royal Navy but also in the Royal Air Force (RAF). This very solidly built aircraft was considered a workhorse for its time. The aircraft possessed two engines and also some remarkable features for its time. Partly because the weapon load was carried internally in a bomb bay and because of its "cola bottle" shape, the aircraft was faster and used less fuel than comparable aircraft of its time such as the Dassault Mirage III and the F-4 Phantom II. The Buccaneer had two crew members: a pilot and a weapon controller.
