This was a great shoot with a beautiful model. The shoot took place in broad daylight and the model was very friendly and even a little shy. But in this photo in a typical pose of a prowling wolf, so with her head low and her bright eyes, she looks incredibly dangerous. I enhanced that creepy image by making the photo a lot darker and taking out most of the bright colours of the forest.

Black wolves have a special appeal and are often seen as terrifying due to their rarity and striking appearance. Their deep, almost impenetrable black fur evokes images of darkness and mystery, traits associated with the unknown and danger in many cultures. Unlike their grey counterparts, black wolves stand out more strongly in nature, giving them an almost mythical aura.

The colour of black wolves is caused by a genetic mutation that may have arisen from crosses with domestic dogs. Their rarity and the often grim folklore surrounding black animals enhance their reputation. In stories, they are sometimes depicted as omens of doom or as powerful, evil creatures, as in ancient legends in which they bring chaos and death.

Their intense, yellow or amber eyes contrast sharply with their dark fur, which can have an intimidating effect. This combination of physical characteristics, rarity and the symbolism of darkness makes black wolves fascinating and often terrifying figures in both nature and the human imagination.
