In this artwork you see a dancer. She is wearing a long dress. Her hair is waving through the air. This work is done in black and white and gold yellow accents. Because one light source was chosen in the upper right, there is a lot of contrast between the shadows on the woman's dress and the highlights.
The basis of this image is a charcoal drawing. Digital techniques were used to transform this drawing into a work of art that looks much like a work painted with oil.
Dance and movement, those are the two words that best describe this digital painting. The dress that swings up, the hair that swirls up through the wavy movement of this abstract lady, all the elements in this work contribute to the sense of dynamism.
From a blank sheet to an imaginative sketch or drawing — that’s what I enjoy most about creating my artwork.
