About ‘Black-tailed godwit in snowy polder landscape’ by Jacob Molenaar
A rare day in April with both meadow birds and snow in the polder, this black-tailed godwit didn't care and stood in front of it.
In this meadow bird-friendly polder in Bleskensgraaf, they fortunately still occur. In 2016, the black-tailed godwit was chosen by the Dutch public as a national bird.

Hi hi, Jacob here! I am an enthusiastic nature lover from the Netherlands. I have been bird watching since I was 11, and actually from the beginning I started photography right away. First with compact cameras, nowadays with more expensive equipment. Occasionally I photograph landscapes, but the focus is on birds and insects. Living in the Alblasserwaard, most pictures are from this area, but I will also occasionally upload vacation pictures if they are worthwhile.
