Black marble and liquid gold 2 of 3 by AidasignArt

This slender work unfolds a powerful visual world of liquid black marble and flowing gold, which condense into a mountainous formation. On the right-hand side of the picture, a rock rises up – not solid, but formed from pulsating, almost living matter. From this dark primordial substance grow slender, single-stemmed trees that stretch towards the light. Their branches bear delicate white cherry blossoms, whose fragility stands in stark contrast to the heaviness and density of the material. The blossoms turn to the left, towards a lighter area of the picture – as if following an invisible pull of light.

At the foot of the rock, the dark, golden-shimmering mass flows into a turquoise-shimmering river that runs like a ribbon through the picture – a kind of transition between solid form and flowing movement. In the background, individual pointed rocks appear, faintly visible through a fine, light grey mist that lies like a veil between the planes and leads the image into an otherworldly depth.

This work forms the middle part of a three-part series that can be hung individually or as a triptych or diptych. The series tells of the birth of form, of the secret life of matter and the silent transformation between nature, spirit and cosmos. Marble, gold and mist merge into a symbol of alchemical processes – a metaphor for the invisible that works in everything.
