Reflection of a birch forest on the Maashorst.
The camera moved from top to bottom when taking this picture. You can see a line running from left to right , which is the reflection of the birch forest in a pool on the Maashorst. Birches do well on the sandy soil in Brabant. Especially on the Maashorst, an area higher up and formed in the ice age. Due to climate change, and other forests are forming. A Birch is a pioneer tree, it grows up almost everywhere. They are often long thin blades that form a real tree within a few years.
