About ‘Between What Was and What Is Coming’ by BS

Between What Was and What Is Coming depicts the quiet moment of a journey - a glance through the train window, behind which a landscape of mountains is bathed in the light of a setting sun. The colours of the sky flow into orange, copper and violet, while the seats in the compartment reflect back the warm light. It is an image of movement, but also of stillness.

The traveller is absent, and precisely because of this, the viewer himself becomes the traveller. Through this window, we not only look outside, but also inside - at memory, expectation and change. The landscape slipping by becomes a metaphor for time itself: always in motion, never quite fixed.

Within the album Everyone's Perspective, this work represents the theme of transition. Where earlier windows show moments of calm, light or reflection, Between What Was and What Is Coming captures the sense of being on the move - the realisation that perspective is constantly shifting, just like the horizon.

The painting invites you to be still for a moment, to look without destination. For in the movement lies a rare form of calm: the insight that we are all travellers, looking through our own window, on our way to something as yet unknown.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
