The Berlin Palace (colloquially: City Palace) is located on the Spree Island in the Historic Center of Berlin. Partially burned out at the end of World War II in 1945, the palace was blown up in the GDR in 1950 despite international protests. After the private commitment of the Förderverein Berliner Schloss and other initiators, and following a resolution of the German Bundestag, the palace was rebuilt in 2013 until 2020.
At 368 meters, the Berlin TV Tower is the tallest structure in Germany and the fourth tallest TV tower in Europe. In 1969, the year of its completion, it was the second highest television tower in the world.
The Berlin Cathedral at the Lustgarten on Museum Island is a Protestant church in the Mitte district of Berlin. Built in 1894-1905 to designs by Julius Raschdorff in the Neo-Renaissance and Neo-Baroque styles, the architectural monument is the largest Protestant church in Germany in terms of area and one of the most important dynastic burial places in Europe.
