About "Berber Monkey eyes closed"

About the artwork

You can't see that this Berber monkey is sitting on a very high and much too small pole. And that he closed his eyes because he was enjoying the last rays of sunlight of the day.
That he occasionally opened his eyes to see if I was still standing are those little details that make this photo a gift to me.

When making animal portraits, I try to make the surroundings disappear as much as possible, so I try to create an image that suggests that the animals I portray live in freedom.

However, the opposite is true. This regularly brings me into conflict as a human and animal lover. Precisely because I grant all animals the freedom that they not only deserve but also simply should have.

I love nature and animals. It is my love for the animals that makes me capture them the way I think they prefer to be seen, living in a free environment.

I hope to pass on respect for these captive animals to the new generation.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
