I took this photo in the Leuvenum forest between Harderwijk and Nunspeet on the Veluwe. When I took this picture the sunlight fell through the treetops on this leaf of a beech tree, it is the reason I took this picture. I took this photo with backlight which made the colors of the beech leaf come out nicely, I did the light metering only on the beech leaf so the beech leaf was well exposed and the background darkened. As you can see the leaves were already starting to turn some colors because of autumn, autumn had just begun. For this photo I used a Nikon 55-300mm DX lens on my Nikon D7200. I do like this photo as a large format on the wall.
