I did not know this wildflower. With the macro lens, this one does look very pretty. The lilac colour on a soft background shows this one off beautifully.
Phacelia (Phacelia tanacetifolia), also called bee bread, bee food or bee friend or beeéclair, is an annual plant belonging to the broadleaf family (Boraginaceae), which is frequently visited by honey bees and bumblebees. The plant is native to California, where it grows on stony mountain slopes. Its natural range is in California, Arizona, Nevada and northern Mexico. The plant occurs in the wild almost all over the Netherlands and Belgium.
