About ‘Beach entrance in Domburg’ by Jacqueline Lodder

You will see this beach entrance in Domburg, when you walk on the trail over the dunes. The staircase leads directly onto the beach. If you walk along the sea you will see the beach bars where you can take a snack or drink. You walk over the beach or over the dunes to West-Kapelle or Oost-Kapelle. Keen walkers go to Zoutelande, Flushing or vrouwenpolder. This is a place where many people come to celebrate their vacation. Domburg is located on the west coast in the Dutch province of Zeeland. It is located on the former island of Walcheren, and belongs to the municipality of Veere. Domburg is known as a spa and still there are many bathers. In 1886 brought Dr. Mezger a first visit to Domburg. This man had acquired a great reputation as a physician/masseur and is seen as an important founder of the physical therapy. Because of the special light there were also artists in the village as the famous painter Piet Mondriaan.
