Porto Katsiki is Lefkada's most famous beach and is located on the southwest coast. I took the photo myself while traveling around the island and now converted it into an abstract watercolor painting.
Porto Katsiki literally means "the port of the goat. Decades ago when this beach belonged to the municipality of Athani, there were no or few tourists here. Those you encountered here were mostly shepherds who let their goats graze in the wild. The goats climbed the steep slopes at the beach by the fantastic turquoise sea. Thus the residents spontaneously came up with the idea of giving this place the name and Porto Katsiki.
I made the painting with watercolors. Real handwork in other words! The original is 30 x 40 cm, but the nice thing about a print is that you can choose any size and material you want.
The painting has been photographed in such a way that the structure of the watercolor paper is still clearly visible. This has the advantage that it looks even more like a real painting, even though it is a print.

I used the following colors in the painting: light and dark blue, turquoise, yellow, brown and green.
