The vase of flowers and the shells are from the still life ‘Flowers in a Wan-Li vase and shells’, painted around 1640-1650 by Dutch Artist Balthasar van der Ast.
In the background, a framed detail of Johannes Vermeer's world-famous portrait ‘The Milkmaid’, painted by him around 1658-1659.

This artwork has a black background. A version with a blue background is also for sale in my shop under the same title (Balthasar & Vermeer - Art Combined).
