This colorful, abstract and modernist work that is basically out of balance due to the placement of the object, is balanced by the yellow plane that runs behind it.
The idea originated from movements and philosophies of life such as Buddhism and Stoicism. In these, one looks for a good balance for and in life.
The colors used may in that respect also be seen as 'life'.
This work uses the common colors of Bauhaus and De Stijl and makes a nod to that minimalist, experimental period in art and design.
The work does not lack in a modern interior, but also fits well in a more traditional setting where a more traditional frame can help.
