A simplistic illustration of Baby's Breath (or: Gypsophila), made with fineliners on craft paper.
A small flower but one with big symbolism. It is used a lot for wedding bouquets and as a gift for baby showers, as it represents eternal love and new beginnings, but also innocence, purity and friendship.
The origin of the name Baby’s Breath is a bit unclear. It probably refers to the flower’s delicateness and its meaning of innocence. I love them because of their simplicity, and how they manage to complete a bouquet but also make a beautiful bouquet of their own.
