A long, straight gravel road cuts through the flat landscape, lightly crunching under imaginary footsteps. Scattered on either side of the path are a few sheep grazing - quiet, undisturbed, their white coats softly glowing in the warm afternoon light. Their presence brings life and calm to the quiet setting.
To the left and right of the road, calm water glistens. In the distance, on the horizon, a classic mill appears with its sails still. Beside it are a few low, modest houses, their gables warmly coloured by the low sun. The sky is clear, with a soft golden glow enveloping the landscape in a sense of the end of the day - a moment of stillness, balance and rural simplicity.
The whole breathes a timeless calm, a hushed Holland where light, land and life come together harmoniously.
I am an image-maker with an eye for detail and a sense of atmosphere. My work is best described as minimalist and conceptual, often with subtle layers.
