About ‘Autumn storm in gold and brown. Abstract impression.’ by Ineke de Rijk

The autumn storms begin. The wind whips around. The leaves are still on the trees but just a little longer and they will fall to the ground. An abstract impression of the storms painted with alcohol ink in warm brown-red and gold colours.

Ineke de Rijk's inspiring travels

From the Algarve to The Gambia

I have time to draw and paint more after years of volunteer work for the St. Care Foundation The Gambia. Inspiration I got in the Gambia where I also lived. The colors, the population and life is a great source of inspiration. But also the quieter life now is inspiring to use softer colours and to work more with pastel chalk. But still it's nice to work in all kinds of colours and to try out new techniques and new materials.
