About "Autumn idyll on Lake Stahnsdorf"

About the artwork

I discovered this autumnal landscape shot at a hidden, small lake in the Brandenburg region near Storkow during my extensive photo walk on 7 October 2019. The picture was taken with my Nikon D90.

Lake Stahnsdorf is a natural lake in the Brandenburg district of Oder-Spree in the municipality of Storkow. It is located in the Alt Stahnsdorf district and is part of the Dahme-Heideseen Nature Park.

Lake Stahnsdorf has various tributaries in the form of small ditches from the surrounding meadows and wetlands. The outflow of the lake, the Stahnsdorfer Fließ, is located at the entrance to Alt Stahnsdorf and forms a connection to the Storkow Canal. A watermill has been in operation at this location since 1537. The mill located there today is one of the architectural monuments of the Storkow region. Almost the entire course of the river is protected as part of the Storkow Canal nature reserve.

The western bank of the lake is largely bordered by private property, while another part can be reached via the riverside footpath to Neu Stahnsdorf. The eastern shore is mainly dominated by a wetland area. There is an island in the centre of the lake, which is now a nature reserve. There is a grey heron colony on it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
