When September arrives, one of the most magical seasons in northern Sweden begins: autumn. This picture shows the warm colours of this time around Myrkulla Lodge, a small, idyllically situated cabin right on the lake. The view sweeps over gently swaying reeds that glow golden yellow in the early afternoon light. In the background, the glowing forest is reflected in the clear water - a mixture of spruce, birch and deciduous trees that blend together in yellow, orange and red.
The scenery is calm and inviting. Myrkulla Lodge itself is only vaguely recognisable among the trees - a place that radiates a sense of security and retreat. No street noise, no rush. Just silence, nature and the soft sound of the water. The sky is a deep blue, interspersed with light clouds that gently refract the light and lend depth to the picture. It is a scene that makes you forget time.
In this region, the season of berries and mushrooms is now beginning. The midges are disappearing, the aurora season is approaching - and if you're lucky, you might see the first green veils dancing in the sky at night. But even during the day, the landscape is an experience. The colours of the forest and the clear light of the north are a gift for every eye - and every camera. The air is cool but pure. Every breath is relaxation.
Nature photography here thrives on light and atmosphere. This motif brings both together: Warmth and clarity, depth and harmony. The gaze is not directed, but guided - to the centre, to tranquillity. The reeds in the foreground, the trees in the background, the lake in between - it all comes together to form a balanced whole.
