Photos of my colourful autumn walk through the Zwart Water nature reserve, located in the municipality of Venlo. My aim is to capture the beautiful autumn colours this fantastic area has to offer.
At the start of the walk, I am immediately greeted by a symphony of colours, smells and sounds. The trees and shrubs lining the winding paths are mostly adorned in the most spectacular hues. Golden yellow, deep red and rusty brown.
The banks of the Venkoelen are an oasis of calm on this Saturday morning. Along the way, I see the requisite mushrooms popping up from the damp ground. Some are as small as pinheads, while other giants dominate the autumn soil.
The Black Water nature reserve leaves me in wonder and reminds me how important it is to cherish and preserve our natural treasures. I realise how lucky I am to have the opportunity to explore such wondrous places and enjoy the overwhelming beauty of autumn.
