This tree is in my neighborhood. I don't know what species it is but it turns a beautiful color in the fall with all the shades of red yellow and brown you can think of.
At the time I made this painting it was shining in the warm evening light of October. I made this painting in gouache. The light changes so quickly in the evening, and with gouache I can work fast.
I love trees. Actually, they are not the same day and the colors in all seasons inspire each time.
The original was made on light brown paper at about a4 size.
I have been an artist all my life. As a child, I would draw on every blank piece of paper that could be found in the house, and when I got out of school, there was often crafting, drawing or modeling.
