Vibrant autumn scene with green mossy beech trees on an orange forest floor.
I was teaching a workshop the day I made this image and my client was in luck because the day started misty after which it lingered a bit and a few hours later sun rays started to appear everywhere. The paths were covered with a carpet of vibrant orange leaves, the colours of the foliage were a mixture of yellow, green and orange and it felt like a huge autumn party. These trees seemed to be enjoying it tremendously ;)
Ellen Borggreve is a landscape photographer and author of Woodscapes and Praxisbuch Wälder fotografieren, among others. She was born and raised in the woods of the Veluwe where her love for trees originated. Besides forests she also likes to photograph Dutch coastal scenes.
