Mario Fissore developed in 1959 almost a new 4-seater coupe and convertible with complete technology from Auto Union GmbH Ingolstadt. The two coupés and cabriolet were first presented at the Salon Italiano del auomóvil in 1959.
The delivery was carried out by the Italian DKW importer Motoauto S.p.A de Bologna. But 1964 after perhaps a little over 100 pieces and exact numbers do not exist, was finally end with this 1000 SE millespecial in small series, Motauto sold the complete tools to Argentina. Industria Automotriz Santa Fé SA had acquired the license for further production for both models in 1964. The Fábrica Argentina de Carrocerías Especiales pressed the steel sheet bodywork and under the guidance of Fissore experts who came specially from Italy, just 701 pieces were welded together by hand. Thereof 226 pieces in a 2nd series even without fins and without the lateral, chrome-plated ornamental grilles, historical photos of them are currently not known!
