Tips for use

Point your camera at the floor or a piece of furniture first, then move it slowly up towards the wall. A bare white wall is hard for your phone to recognise.
Move your phone gently from side to side. Holding it still or waving it around quickly does not help.
Make sure there is enough light. In a dark room your phone has nothing to lock onto.
The artwork appears at its true size, so you cannot scale it in AR. Want a different size? Close AR and pick the size on the product page.
Still nothing? Open this page in Chrome or Safari. AR does not work in the browser of apps such as Instagram or Facebook.

About ‘At the heart of the Höfats’ by Walter G. Allgöwer

A hint of infinity hangs over this panorama, as if the very breath of the Allgäu Alps were causing the air itself to vibrate. From the Laufbacher-Eckweg, the landscape unfolds like a silent poem: the Höfats rises boldly and sharply, a green, almost unreal grassy peak that, in the light of day, seems like a living being. Behind it, the Allgäu main ridge forms a majestic line of stone and time – the Trettachspitze, Mädelegabel, Bockkarkopf and Hochfrottspitze, each a chapter in the ancient book of the mountains.
The forms are rugged, yet imbued with a profound gentleness, as if wind and weather had spent millennia trying to soften the harshness of the rock. In the hollows, the green of the meadows glows; on the ridges, the bare rock sparkles. Everything seems to be in balance: the wild and the delicate, the sublime and the fleeting.
Up here, in the Allgäu, in Bavaria, in Europe, the world falls silent. Your gaze is lost in the lines of the peaks, and for a moment you feel how small you are – and how connected. The mountains do not speak, yet their language is clear: a call for vastness, for humility, for wonder.
