"Astrantia Major (Zeeland Knotweed) reflects in the surface" is a macro photo of a flower of an Astrantia Major (Zeeland Knotweed). But this time from a different angle. The lighting and editing have given this work a special atmosphere. The flower stands out. Partly because of the pink - fuchsia colours. I would describe the background colour as burgundy - with some dark purple in it. The flower of the Astrantia Major lies on a separate background that is mirrored. This allows you to see the flower reflected in the ground surface, which has a playful effect.
The focus of this photo is on the transition from the stem to the front petals. The further back you look, the more the flower fades. This creates depth in the work.
In this style, I created a series of Zeeland knots, great if you want to have several works in the same theme hanging in your home or office!
For example, this work could hang beautifully as wall decoration in the bedroom, kitchen, hallway or just above the sofa! Also beautiful in business locations such as on the wall in a meeting room, office waiting room or practice room!
