Armée de l'Air Extra 330SC aerobatic aircraft.
Registration: F-TGCI.
This aircraft is part of the aerobatic team Équipe de Voltige of the French Air Force. The team consists of 2 Extra 330 aircraft.
The team is an extraordinary military unit. They fly the extremely manoeuvrable German-built Extra 330SC and the pilots are among the world's best in artificial flying. This unit, based in Salon-de-Provence, is a kind of aerobatics laboratory that constantly strives to push the boundaries of aerodynamics. They also coach French pilots competing in aerobatics championships. Over the years, several pilots have trained and become world champions. The flight demonstrations are both precisely flown and visually stunning where the laws of physics are defied with impressive manoeuvres.
The Extra 330SC is single-seat aircraft specially designed for aerobatics in the highest category. Built by Extra Flugzeugbau in Germany, the aircraft can pull as much as plus 10 G and minus 10 G (G-forces).
