Delft University of Technology, building of the Geotechnology department. The head building of the building for Civil Engineering designed by Van den Broek and Bakema has become the new Geotechnology faculty building. The facade has been stripped and fitted with a new glass facade. The design is by Jeanne Dekkers Architects. The vertical transport is organised in a newly built staircase in the head of the building. The facade is made entirely of glass that is provided with a print. The building, which previously had a very closed character due to the use of concrete facade elements, has been completely changed by this and has become the eye-catcher of the TU complex. I took the photo of this facade as a free work just after sunset. The graphic character of this photo is emphasised by the conversion to black and white.
