In the Philips fruit garden, you can enjoy the apple blossom that is abundant there.
So the apple blooms quite early, with pretty almost white to soft pink flowers, dark pinkish red when still in bud. The flowers are monoecious (each flower has both male and female reproductive organs in it) and are pollinated by insects. An apple needs cross-pollination.
The Philips Fruit Garden was established by Anton Philips as a work-procurement project. It is a 12-hectare orchard with apple, pear and plum trees. We grow the fruit with respect for nature. Beneficial insects control the harmful ones.
