The forecasts for a morning glow were rather poor, it was just my instinct that drove me out of bed and to this spot at a very early hour. A few days earlier, the forecast had been good and I had tried once before, unfortunately without success. It's annoying, because even though the place isn't far from my home, I have to get up two hours before sunrise to be there in time for dawn. And at that time, there is still too little to see in the sky to be able to say for sure whether it will be worth it...
In any case, I was lucky on my second attempt: the first colour appeared in the high clouds three quarters of an hour before sunrise and after a while the whole sky lit up...
